Room 18 3rd-5th Grade
My name is Laura Moreno and I am the CDC teacher for the 3rd-5th grade classroom in room 18. I am very excited about our upcoming school year and look forward to welcoming back our old students and meeting our new incoming ones.
Prior to working here, I worked as the Assistant Director in the After-School Care Enrichment Program at West Side Neighborhood School in Playa Vista. I also taught preschool and DK for fifteen years. I attended UCLA and earned my BA in English Literature and hold a California Teacher Permit.
In our class, we will strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where the children will balance their after-school responsibilities, such as homework and class projects, with free play and teacher-directed activities. Along with Mr. Jimenez, the Instructional Assistant, we will strive to create a daily routine where the children will feel comfortable, know what is expected of them, and of course, have fun.
