Ms. Kuzmich & Mrs. Campos

Welcome to Preschool Room 1!

My name is Iryna Kuzmich, or Miss K, and I am a preschool teacher at Tulita Child Development Center. I am thrilled to be a part of the Redondo Beach Unified School District, and I am looking forward to a year full of discoveries, adventures and fun!

I was born in Belarus, where I attended Linguistics University to become an English teacher. However, I moved to New York City in 2010, where my passion for teaching took a different turnI became an early childhood educator! I earned my B. S. in Early Childhood Education from the Center for Worker Education at the City College of New York, NY and my M. S. Ed. in Special Education in Early Childhood from Brooklyn College, NY. Before I moved across the country via road trip, I taught preschool in Manhattan and Brooklyn for three and a half years, including one year as a co-lead teacher in a pre-k classroom and one year as a lead teacher in a special education pre-k classroom. I currently hold Multiple Subject Elementary Teaching and Education Specialist Instruction credentials with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

I refer to myself as a nature girl since I come from the country with more than 20,000 rivers and 11,000 lakes and which is called “the lungs of Europe” due to its forests and swamps. I grew up playing outside, picking berries, and cooking with sticks and mud. Now, nature inspires my teaching and serves as my meditation, along with reading, travelling, and playing with cats. California has opened new horizons for me with its beaches, mountains, and deserts. With such a backdrop and personal motto “carpe diem,” or “seize the day,” I hope to instill the love of learning, passion for inquiry, and enjoyment of collaboration. I look forward to working with families to bolster their children’s learning experience both in the classroom and at home!

Hello, my name is Mrs. Angie Campos, I am very excited to have joined the preschool classroom at Tulita and I am thrilled to be your new instructional assistant. I have been working in Early Childhood Education for the past 19 years, twelve years in special education and the rest with preschool, infant & toddlers. My many years of experience have taught me the value of patience and encouragement is essential when working in the classroom. I will work closely with each student, by providing the support and praise each child needs for them to succeed throughout their educational experience. I  look forward to a year full of new adventures and learning.
